We’re a group of counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists of color who want to provide the Greater KC Metro with an easy way to find therapists of color!
About Color Collective KC
In September 2020, we started a google form referral process, and quickly matched nearly 100 folx of color in KC with therapists that met their needs. While this website provides easier access to the therapists, please reach out if you are having trouble finding a match!
Why specialized services for BIPOC persons in Kansas City? And why BIPOC?
BIPOC are frequently left out of conversations and opportunities regarding mental health services. Though we sometimes struggle with the term BIPOC, we use it because it recognizes the more specific, intense struggles of Black and Indigenous folx, while still encompassing all folx of color.
